As well as our spectacular coastline, vibrant towns and holiday attractions – we now boast the 12 Apostles Gourmet Trail – the ultimate indulgent road trip of gourmet cheese makers, single malt whisky, wine, fresh local crayfish, rich ice cream, chocolate, olives, snails, jams and strawberries. Many of these artisans have tasting and tours.
Timboon has a supermarket (8am-8pm daily, weekends and public holidays 8am-6pm offering a great selection of fresh produce, baked goods, meat delicatessen and more) a newsagent (for your local paper!), a large chemist/pharmacy plus the Timboon Bakery and Timboon Takeaway
The Fat Cow
The Fat Cow (yes look for the large cow statue!) is a café, food store and catering business. Wholesome, fresh and iall made on premises by owners Natasha and Jimmy. Breakfast and lunch menus list the favourites, such as the Fat Cow pies, veggie frittata and burgers, whilst their ever-changing specials board lists seasonal offerings and modern flavour combinations

Timboon is a quaint timber town rich in history of pioneers, railways, timber and illicit whisky distillers. The modern rustic ambience of this artisinal restaurant called ‘The Shed’ features mouth-watering local fare and a whisky tasting room. Family+ pet friendly with free WiFi. (This is also the starting point of the famous self-guided Rail Trail walk).

Cobden Township (20mins from Bellevue) offers a supermarket (8am-8pm daily), butcher shop, newsagent, pharmacy and the Makan Asian Take-Away and Patisserie, run by Gerry and Tan (open Mon-Sat 11am-8pm, closed Sunday).

Forage on the Foreshore Seasonally-driven by chef Sam Anderson is this seafront cottage cafe with wooden floorboards (it was the town's old post office), art on the walls, an open fireplace and a vintage record player spinning vinyl. Open daily 9am-5pm (except Wednesdays)
Frying Nemo Hailed by locals as the “best fish and chips in Port”, this tiny hole-in-the-wall will have you hooked on their generous takeaway pack for just $10.
Port Campbell Hotel and Craypot Bistro Calling all seafood lovers – this family friendly pub`s aptly named Craypot Bistro best showcases its famous seafood selections with a hot and cold seafood platter. Timboon Fine Ice Cream

Being dairy farmers and ‘foodies’, owners Tim and Caroline have successfully combined the two to produce an all natural, premium boutique ice cream. Milk and cream are sourced locally and all ice cream is made fresh to order. No artificial flavours, colours or other additives. The formula for the ice cream was determined by key factors including, no egg (for allergy sufferers), no gluten (for the same reason), a great creamy mouth feel, new innovative flavours (over 24 ice creams and 6 sorbets) and fresh ingredients.
Over 40 different heavenly handmade Belgium chocolates including chocolate frogs, bars, choc marshmallows, choc honeycomb, choc licorice, choc bananas, choc koalas & kangaroos, Rocky Road and more. Local favorites include Heytesbury Honeycomb, Melba Gully Mints, Caramel Echidnas and of course their famous Full-On Freckles.
Berry World (15mins from Bellevue)
Open November to mid April, Tuesdays through to Sunday from 10am-4pm
There are strawberries, and then there are Timboon strawberries! Taste the legend. See where food originates. Talk to the owner-operators. Berry World is a pick-your-own berry fruit experience that specialises in the high flavour varieties of strawberries that you won't find in the supermarkets. You can also pick hybrid blackberries (which grow to twice the size of your normal blackberry) and a range of other berry fruits are being planted and will be available in the future. Berries are available from November to mid April. Strawberries have the longest season (from November to mid April) and the Blackberries are available around Christmas and New Year.
Award-winning, hand-made cheeses, prepared onsite using vegetarian rennet at this family farm from pure milk produced by a contented herd of Jerseys and Friesians. Free tastings and you can also watch the cheesemakers hard at work through large viewing windows. In March, April, and July through to September you’ll be enchanted by newborn calves. The flavours are to drive for – along the Great Ocean Road of course - Loch Ard Gorgeous, the Grotto, Apostle Crumble, Bay of Martyrs, Southern Briez and more.

Open 11am-4pm Wed to Sunday for cheese tastings + sales.
Sample cheese tastings from the award winning Schultz Organic Farms. Milk, cream, yoghurt, quark, fetta, whey and more. All made in small batches from whole milk of Friesan and Jersey Cows with nothing added but natural ingredients. Since 1972 they have used bio dynamic and organic principles to enhance the vitality of the soil, grasses and animals. Enjoy scones and coffee in their lovely garden gazebo.
Newton’s Ridge Estate Winery (20mins from Bellevue) Newtons Ridge Estate produces award winning Chardonnay & Pinot Noir. Pinot Grigio, Sauvignon Blanc, Shiraz, Rose and a beautiful Sparkling Trio, made the French Methode Champenoise. Visit the Cellar Door from October 1 through to the end of Easter, seven days a week, 11am to 4.30pm daily.
