Guests
from Singapore to Santa Fe, Manila to Melbourne, all have raved about Bellevue
Farmstay, nestled in a hillside at Scotts Creek in Victoria's South West. With
majestic views from all rooms, this self-contained farm house on a working farm
has three bedrooms, large lounge and family rooms (with additional sofa beds),
a dining room and a fully-equipped kitchen. Plus, a wood-burning heater, spa
bath and private outdoor pool. Families and large groups love the rumpus porch
for kids with chalkboard wall, Leggo and totem tennis. The breakfast basket is brimming with farm fresh eggs, a variety of cereals, milk,
juice, tea, coffee, sugar and condiments.
Meet our
Australian Cattle Dog Sapphire (a 12-year-old Blue Heeler), Penny the Siamese
cat, Sam the sheep, Acca the goat and Dora the lamb. The alpacas are Fred,
Nugget and Innie with her newborn cria Bazza. Awaiting a carrot is Franny the
horse who looks forward to visits from guests. Plus you will likely run into
native wildlife (koalas, echidnas, kookaburras and kangaroos) on the walking
trails.
An easy 2
1/2 hour drive (or train ride) from Melbourne, we are just 20 minutes from the
breathtaking Great Ocean Road and world-famous Shipwreck Coast featuring the
spectacular Twelve Apostles, Port Campbell National Park and the Bay of Islands
at Peterborough. We are just 10 minutes to the Timboon township and its
award-winning organic cheeses, ice-cream, strawberries, local wines and beers.
Walk (or cycle) off these indulgences with the Timboon to Camperdown Rail
Trail. Half an hour away are the amazing volcanic lakes and craters at
Camperdown or the magnificent ferns and soaring forests of the Great Otway
National Park.
So
join gregarious hosts Wendy and Warren Couch, the fourth generation owners of
Bellevue, to enjoy the views, take a bush walk with some wildlife, map out some
